geboren 1983 in Niederbayern Studium der Theater-, Medien-, Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaften, Universität Bayreuth (B.A. 2007) Studium der Mediengestaltung/Medienkunst, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (M.F.A. 2009) Postgrad. Studium Klanggestaltung & elektroakustische Komposition, HFM „Franz Liszt“ Weimar (2011) Unterricht in elektroakustischer Komposition bei Prof. Robin Minard Schwerpunkte v.a. Klanginstallationen für den öffentlichen Raum, elektroakustische Improvisation sowie Film- und Theatermusik. Parallel dazu Arbeiten als Regisseur, Kameramann, Cutter, Ton- und Medientechniker sowie als Programmierer von Software zur Klangerzeugung und -Verräumlichung. 2012-2015 Ton- und Medientechniker am Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam, danach als Gast. Arbeitsfelder u.a. Sounddesign, Proben- und Vorstellungsbetreuung, Kamera, Postproduktion/Videokunst, Projektionsmapping, etc. Seit 2015 künstlerischer Mitarbeiter am Fachgebiet Zeitbasierte Künste der Kunsthochschule Burg Giebichenstein Halle (Saale) Seit 2016 zusätzlich freischaffend als Medientechniker für 235Media, Köln (Ausstellungen u.a. Bill Viola, Stiftung für Kunst und Kultur Bonn) Seit 2019 Mitarbeiter im Tonstudio der Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar. Am SeaM unterrichtet Daniel Schulz im Fach Tonstudiotechnik.

Studied sound design & electroacoustic composition, HFM „Franz Liszt“ Weimar (2011) Lessons in electroacoustic composition with Prof. Robin Minard Focus mainly on sound installations for public spaces, electroacoustic improvisation as well as film and theatre music. Parallel work as a director, cameraman, editor, sound and media technician and programmer of software for sound production and specialization. 2012-2015 Sound and media technician at the Hans-Otto-Theatre Potsdam, then as a guest. Fields of work include sound design, rehearsal and performance supervision, camera, post-production/video art, projection mapping, etc. Since 2015 artistic collaborator at the Department of Time-Based Arts at the Burg Giebichenstein University of the Arts Halle (Saale) Since 2016 also freelance as media technician for 235Media, Cologne (exhibitions e.g. Bill Viola, Foundation for Art and Culture Bonn). Since 2019 staff member at the recording studio of the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar. At SeaM, Daniel Schulz teaches the subject of recording studio technology.
